Tired of pain?

EXPERIENCE A NON-SURGICAL, NON-INVASIVE, NON-ADDICTIVE TREATMENT

What is Ortho-Bionomy®?

Ortho-Bionomy® is a modality within the healing arts that is a neurological and structural based work that enables the body to self-correct without pain or force. It originates from osteopathy, and includes working with the structure, lymph, fluids, neurology, organs, and the endocrine system. The key element is its ability to access the nervous system, engaging the body’s brilliance and capacity to understand its own condition thus allowing self-correction to shift the body.

Curious what a session looks like?

The only thing it shares in common with massage is the table it is done on. Clients wear loose fitting clothing and are taken through ranges of movement Sometimes resistance work (isometrics and isotonics) is introduced, which I often use. Compression and reflexes are some of the things that will come up during a session.

Sessions are usually about an hour.

Some of the key principles used in Ortho-Bionomy are:

  • Towards ease, away from pain, never towards resistance

  • Never use force, no exceptions.

  • Non-Judgement/No Agenda, meaning regardless of the client’s diagnosis or story, the practitioner must also remain open to potential contributing factors, and remember that we are working with a dynamic system.

  • Supporting Self Recognition, by working with the client to help them become more body aware at any level.

About & Testimonials

I’m an ultra distance runner who met Kristin through completing the Moab 240 endurance race. She has guided me with her healing practice, opening avenues of healing I was not aware of. She is a gifted healer and I am a grateful recipient of her talents to promote healing. I highly recommend her.

Kristin has the touch. I had never even heard about ortho before. I went in with no expectations and a very sore body.
The results were amazing. I don’t even understand what she does but it works!!!

I’m a Floridian transplant living in Moab, UT for the past 14 years. Through my time living here I’ve taken full advantage of all the outdoor recreation, which can be hard on the body when you’re doing extreme sports. I’ve had many injuries over the years and I’ve tried different kinds of healing techniques and have visited an assortment of bodywork practitioners. A severe issue with my hands is what lead me to Ortho-Bionomy®. I’ve had bad blows to my elbows and hands and have metal in both pinkies. I was having extreme nerve pain and numbness and felt like my hands were bleeding all the time. It was absolutely miserable and I couldn’t sleep, and a friend suggested I go see the ortho-bionomist in town. I was so skeptical during my session if it would make any difference whatsoever. I felt like I was barely touched. We just did some very light resistance exercises through my wrists. I walked out of there thinking there’s no way something so subtle could make any real improvements. After that day the issue seemed completely resolved, and I was inspired to start my own journey to learn this modality. It was an absolute blessing to have wrecked myself to end up there that day. I started training at the Rocky Mountain Ortho-Bionomy® Center located in Grand Junction, Colorado in 2022. My life hasn’t been the same since that single appointment, and I never imagined I’d be in pursuit of this kind of work. I am amazed daily and am in such awe that something so light and subtle can be so incredibly powerful. The brilliance of the body is absolutely profound, and I’m reminded all the time while performing posture work on myself and seeing the visual improvements of people on the table.

The power of human touch…. Kristin has helped me in such a gentle way that it was almost hard to believe.. I could hardly get out of my vehicle. My tailbone and lower back were almost debilitating me.. I went from groaning to saying I can’t believe how much better I feel.. thank you Kristin! Healing with a feeling…. Connection and energy.

I came to Kristin with pain in my 1yr healed broken ankle. It felt like a club foot. After the first ortho session we made progress. The ankle tissues softened up and there was increased mobility. She sent me home with posture exercises to do every day. I feel more balanced after a couple of visits to Kristin. I feel all the muscle fibers in my ankle firing and feel more balanced in my day to day activities. Her attention and focus to your recovery shows with her gentle approach to breaking the cycle of pain.
